Voveran SR is classified as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is utilized to alleviate inflammation and serve as an analgesic to relieve pain associated with conditions such as arthritis, gout, sprains, fractures, acute injuries, dislocations, back pain, tendinitis, and frozen shoulder. Additionally, it can help reduce menstrual pain, known as dysmenorrhea. Diclofenac works by inhibiting cyclo-oxygenase, thereby limiting the production of prostaglandins, which are substances that lead to pain, swelling, and inflammation.
Administer Voveran SR orally with a glass of water, either with or without food. Do not cut, crush, or chew the tablets. Adhere to the prescribed dosage and avoid taking the medication more frequently than directed. Do not discontinue use unless advised by your physician. Voveran SR has the potential to cause ulcers in the stomach and duodenum. Prolonged use or high doses of this medication may elevate the risk of heart disease. Notify your physician if you have Parkinson's disease, kidney or liver issues, high blood pressure, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
If you suspect an overdose, seek emergency medical attention immediately. Overdose symptoms may include nausea, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, and feeling light-headed or faint.
